Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Barack Obama

Now, let's see if he can do it again, and again...

Iowa is a little weird. They chose Obama with Edwards and Clinton in a virtual tie for second place on the Democratic side, and then Mike Huckabee was chosen in the Republican straw vote.

Obama has these broad, overarching messages, and Huckabee is all about the retail politics. I mean, in terms of style, these guys are strikingly dissimilar. I think Obama is going to do well in New Hampshire. If he can win New Hampshire, then South Carolina, then Nevada... he's got it.

Huckabee... I really don't know about this guy. He is probably going to bust in New Hampshire, if McCain wins in New Hampshire, and then Huckabee wins in South Carolina... I think Romney (God, how I wish his hair would spontaneously combust) will be done. I am pretty sure That Huckabee is going to lose out to one of the establishment candidates. Who that is gonna be, I don't have a frickin' clue.

Both of these guys are so improbable. Maybe this is actually going to be the weirdest election of a generation...

It is an exciting time, to be sure.
