Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Ella Fitzgerald

I seem to remember her doing a Memorex commercial, where her voice shatters glass...

Ok, I don't have much to talk about, but out of deference to one scientist type, I am going to post something. Hmm... I am a big, big fan of Battlestar Galactica. For one thing, Edward James Olmos is like , the best actor this side of hades. Another thing, Newtonian like physics! Have you any idea how awesome that is? Finally, from the Cylons to the civilian government to the military, everyone is shown as realistic, multi faceted, three dimensional beings. Villains aren't walking props!

Oh, man... it isn't a science fiction drama, it's a philosophy course in space.

Discordant thought; drywall joint compound smells weird.
