Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Jim Thorpe

He didn't deserve what he got.

So, I watched the opening ceremony of the olympics. Holy crap, the Italians are a pretentious, over refined race of weirdoes. What the hell was with the Mohawked freak with a circulatory system on the outside? The sun and moon balloons were bizarre. Sofia Loren is still hot at 71. I'd fuck Susan Sarandon, too, but only if she promised not to talk about politics in the afterglow.

Why did the torch look like a dildo? Why do the medals have holes in them? Italians are weird.

Hey, the Iti's had to look all conceited this year. One of their torch-runners got assaulted, and his torch stolen from him, by a bunch of dirty hippie protesters....so, let em be showee, if nothing else than to say "fuck off, you damned dirty hippies"
