Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Margaretha Geertruida Zelle

She didn't deserve what she got.

So, I am multi tasking right now. I am making chili. Yup, browning the meat as I type. Well, actually, I type a little bit, and then I go into the kitchen and stir the meat a little. Whatever, you get the idea.

Any ways, I was very pleased with the response I got from my cookie post. This has given me an idea. What are your favorite recipes? If they are in electronic form, post them as a comment. If the response is sufficient, I will make them, and take pictures, and write about the experience.

I just am trying to get more involvement in my blog. I want to be an interactive blogger.

I have a whole recipe blog that is somewhat neglected. It's not linked at my new site yet...I might import them as a new category, or I might make a whole subdomain for my recipe site.

Sounds like I know what I'm talking about, doesn't it?

Anyway, go to my old site and click on the evilsciencechef on the side bar. Many favorite recipes there. Included flourless chocolate truffle cake. and a black bean soup to DIE for.

mmmmm...

i don't really have a fav. i just like them all. though i do have a preferred method for hard boiling eggs. oh, you know what, here's a good one for ya. it's the ONLY way to cook uncooked brats. take two to three beers, pour them into a pan. take one whole vidalia onion and slice it up. turn the beer on high, place onions and brats into beer. have a beer or two while wating for the brew to boil. slow to a simmer and let simmer for 15 minutes. when brats have been sufficiently blanched remove from beer. remove onions and place in a frying pan with a healthy spooning of butter. place on med. heat. salt and pepper to taste. take brats and place on a preheated grill. cook brats thouroughly and saute onions. either lightly steam or toast buns, place brat in bun, top with deli mustard and sauteed onions. BEST BRATS EVAR!!

now i want brats.

That right there is the Wisconsin way to make brats.

My favorite recipe:

Buy brownie mix.
Follow directions on box.
Enjoy.

:) I'm not much of a cook.

Well, it's not the most original recipe, but I am sure I would enjoy it!

"he pulls out some beers, you pull out an onion. he puts yours in the pan, you put his on the grill. THAT'S how you cook brats Mr. Ness. THAT'S the Wisconsin way."
