Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Bob Geldof

Tell me why...

In spite of the title and quip, this has actually been a very nice monday for me. It is day one of my current streak of not running over companion animals. My ankle is down to a dull ache; I am not even using an ace bandage any more. My sister is starting up a Myspace account. It was sunny out, and my spaghetti was particularly delicious. No, I don't have a recipe; I just add spices to taste. Spontanaeity and creativity are good.

Yeah, oddly enough, when life doesn't go smoothly, I have things to write about, and when I have a genuinely pleasant day, I can barely make a full paragraph out of it.

Odd how the world works, eh?
