He opened doors.
I am not particularly impressed by people. I go about my life with the knowledge that all is impermanent. Entropy is inevitable. You will die; your children will die, and anything you make will eventually crumble and fail.
Thus, the only real accomplishment is to be kind to those around you. I failed in that effort yesterday. A friend was looking forward to an event for a long time, and my less than sunny attitude dampened that experience for him. I regret this.
Any ways, today and tomorrow are yet to be, so go out and do something nice. Plant a tree that will grow, wither, and die over the course of a hundred or more years. Go to a soup kitchen and feed less fortunate people that may only have months or a few years to live.
Despite its eventual victory, fight entropy.
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

I think you can get "Fight Entropy" as a bumper sticker...
Why the less than sunny attitude? Chin up. Everybody loves a happy face.
Didn't you watch Charlotte's Web as a kid?
SO, the spider dies. The POINT of the movie is to live well while you're living.
And she sings the song Chin Up. I'd sing it, but that's not pretty. Sometimes, it's just easier looking at the bright side of things. Or, in terms I like better, your beer is half full...not half empty.
wow. you are just a ray of sunshine on MY day.
so I will do a good deed and leave a very nice comment on your blog to make you feel better.
Uhhh...ummm...something to make you feel better....
I heard you're hung like a elephant.
feel better? otherwise, I'll go feed some homeless.
ESC, who have you been talking to, and does she still have my number?
