I would like to take this time to talk to you about Vernor's ginger ale. There is, in fact, no other ginger ale but Vernor's. Also, it is spelled with the apostrophe, don't let anyone tell you different.
James Vernor, of Detroit, was a pharmacist in the 1860s. When he was called off to war, he left behind a drink in an oak cask filled with ginger, vanilla, and spices. After he returned home four years later, he found that the aging process had changed the tast of the drink. It was, indeed, "deliciously different".
If you have not had Vernor's ginger ale, you are like a puppy with no legs. Cute, but tragic.

Vernors RULES!
I am cute, but tragic. And that's the way I like it.
While Vernors DOES rule, there is also Schweppe's, which kicks hellacious amounts of ass as well.
Though...I've never heard of a Schweppe's Float, whereas the Vernors float is close to heaven.
Also, Canada Dry is great, too.
I believe that Jacob Schweppe invented ginger ale. I could be wrong, as I've been drinking most of the night, but, if he didn't invent ginger ale, he at least invented tonic water.
Eh, fuck it. Vernors is a home-town asskicking hero...does anyone remember the old commercials "Vernors!!! It's a one-of-a-kind soft drink!!!!"
I DO know that Vernors is America's oldest soft drink.....also, Vernors dropped the apostrophe in the 40s or 50s.
Those were fun....

However, Canada Dry taste like the PISS of that tragic, legless puppy. bleah.
