Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Chris Coyne

He has a little website.

So, this is where I tell you a little about Amanda. Where to start? Well, like Great Grandpa Soady said... "If you don't know where to start, go back to the beginning." So, I will. I maintained an account with OkCupid for over a year. I met some interesting people on there, and I continue to maintain cyber relationships with most. Then Amanda sent me an OkCupid instant message. My first thought was... "Oklahoma? What is that, 14 hours from here?" Not the first thing you think of when you think of romantic first impressions.

The thing is, though... her intellect and interests intigued me. Thankfully for both of us, the internet transcends such petty things like distance. The more we talked, the more I wanted to talk. Pretty soon, we started exchanging our myriad footprints on the web. Myspace, AIM, Yahoo, Blogspot...

Then, we exchanged phone numbers. Let me tell you, I suck at phones. I am talking, sucktacular. I get really nervous; something about not being to see the face of the person I am talking to. All that being said, she puts me at ease. Plus, her accent is easy on the ears too. It's subtle, but it's there. It's very pretty, and I told her as such.

What am I trying to say, here? Well... I haven't been this happy in a very, very long time. I can, and have, talked to Amanda about anything. Sports, politics, war, the environment, love, philosophy, and yes, we have talked in great detail about the physical expression of affection. No, I won't go into detail.

Life is just better with her, and I have a renewed faith in the world, humanity, and Christ because of her. She is, quite simply, my miracle. I can't put it better than that.

Thanks for reading.
