Soggy Plushie Turtle to the face!
Reality does not care how we define it. The fact is, truth is independent of human definition. A rose will still smell as sweet. Most people hate this. We, as a species, are stuck-up, haughty, altogether overproud bastards that act as gods.
We are not gods.
For instance, I find the idea of using infinity as a way to prove a mathematical concept as overproud. Essentially, infinity is an unobtainable, unquantifiable, and impossible concept. There IS a smallest small, and, whether or not the universe is ever expanding or not, a biggest big. Moreover, just because we can't understand something doesn't make it irrelevant or untrue.
Math is flawed. It has to be; WE are flawed.
Any ways, on this sunday, I would suggest to all ("all", yeah, right... that suggests more than one...) of you consider our flaws and imperfections, and for just a few moments, keep in mind our fallibility.
Or not... there are football games to be watched...
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

I promise to ponder some of these topics during halftime of the Bears game. Depending on what snacks I have during the game, I may be in a spot where I do my BEST thinking.
I have no flaws.
ken, your bears pulled it out man. my lions... not so much. but, this is something i have come to terms with after 27 years.
scooter, i have no flaws as well. i am a perfectly cut, perfectly clear, perfectly colorless D-flawless diamond. and no, it's not a princess cut.
Are you saying I am not a god?
okay, so I'm going to be pertinent to the post. I am flawed and imperfect. Christ is perfect and I am complete in Him. We cannot be so proud to think we are gods and that we have created the world around us. Our existence and the eternal plan are mysterious and that makes it interesting and worth finding out after our lives on earth end.
