Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Al Wanamaker

He is a world class douchebag.

Ok, I am a fan of science. I find the esoteric and intricate to be indications of the divine. However, I often find myself really pissed off at scientists. For instance, Donald R. Currey is among one of the few human beings that I would physically assault if I ever was given the opportunity.

The man cut down Prometheus, a bristlecone pine that was at least 4,844 years old. It is my honest opinion that such an act is an unforgivable sin.

Any ways, Al Wanamaker and his team have just killed the world's oldest living animal. It was a clam that lived on the seabed off of Iceland's north coast for at least 405 years.

What is the point of learning about something if you destroy that which you discover?

What kind of scientist would kill the world's oldest living thing? That's not science, yo.

dude... it was a clam. i don't even consider them living. in fact, how the fuck do they even breed? fuck clams. they taste good. but a 400 year old clam... that might taste like ass. or be really good. who knows.

I really like the sentence, "For our work it was a bonus, but it wasn't good for this particular animal."

I have one think to respond with. It would be a bonus for my work if I killed every little hockey shithead that walks through the door...probably wouldn't be very good for that particular animal though.

Hi Scoot the Boot. It's disgusting, unthinkable and way too believable. Isn't that sad? That it's just one in a long line of similar tresspasses? So fucked.
