Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Cindy Lou

She says she just talks, but she has something to say.

You'll find Cindy on my Blog Roll (Dyna, I HAVE been meaning to add you... I just forget...), even though I have never met her, and until a few days ago, never formally corresponded with her. On the surface, it might seem odd, me linking to a woman an entire continent away from me.

Well, I linked to her, because she has a way with words. She can say a lot with little, while, as most of you have figured out, I do just the opposite. Her austere prose transcends itself into elegant poetry.

I can't write poetry. Indeed, some may question my overall writing abilities. This quiet, unassuming gift given to her, or perhaps it is a skill honed, it is something admired by me.

Any ways, she disparaged her blog, in the most recent entry. She called it a "link list". It really isn't. It's a part of my routine. It's something that I have invested feelings of familiarity and fondness into.

It's a good thing, that continues to give me gifts. So, I just wanted to jot that down. I really hope Cindy doesn't do anything... extreme... in regards to her blog.

That would make me sad.

You're so sweet to say it, Scooter. I'm not planning on killing the blog quite yet, so your routine can remain intact! We'll see if I think up anything interesting to say in the near future.
