Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

President Barack Obama

He went to the lion's den, and mauled the lions.

All right... if you have seventy minutes to kill, click on this embedded video. Each segment is ten minutes or so long. It is a Q & A session that the President held with Republicans in Baltimore a couple of days ago.

(Facebook, the gutless cowards, do not import embedded flash videos. You will have to go to my blog, if you are reading the note.)

Any way, MSNBC carried the entire Q & A live and without comment. CNN has most of the video up on their website. So... what did Fox "News" do?

Before the Q & A session finished, they cut away and immediately began editorializing. Look. I don't care if you are a conservative. If you rely on Fox "News" for your information, you are deliberately handicapping yourself. Use Newspapers. Listen to public radio. Check out CNN and MSNBC. Not the editorial shows at night like Maddow and Olbermann, but their actual coverage of the news. Take a look at Current TV's "Vanguard". In short, become a media omnivore. Specialization is for insects. Be the badass MoFo that conquered the earth with a stomach that could eat almost anything and legs that could cross a continent. Evolve your media consumption. You might win a few more arguments with your smart-ass liberal friends.

Evolve, yo.

You are so rad, Bacon Man.

I'm Scooter, but I might be a troll. said...

You know, I really don't understand this whole "stutter = argument invalid" debating tactic.

Jeremy... it was like he saw their talking points in bullet time, to borrow from Jon Stewart.

Republicans can't win if only their base votes for them. Whether you like it or not, when Obama chooses to, he can light a fire under the asses of independents.

We shall see what the mid terms bring us.
