Talk about coming from a tough family...
So, I sometimes click on the Google ads on the top of my blog. Michael Crook is a man in New Jersey that has racist opinions, and posts them on his blog. His blog was advertised on my blog. I am mildly distressed by this.
First off, I am anything but a racist. I know, taxonomically, that there is no such thing as race. A black man could be more of a genetic match to me than a white man with blue eyes and brown hair. Physical appearance does not a race make.
Secondly, how in the hell did the writings that I have made spur AdSense to figure that Michael Crook's brand of foolishness was a nice fit to me? All in all, I would have preferred an ad for hemmhorhoid cream.
Discordant thought; 75,000 years ago, a volcanic eruption dropped the human race to around 2,000 individuals...
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.
