Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Steve Irwin

I really, really hope he dies in a horrible herpetological mishap.

All right, listen up. Snakes are not slimy. Their skin is dry, and cool to the touch. If I hear another person call snakes slimy... well, I am not sure what I will do, but I guarantee I won't be smiling when I do it.

Ok, snakes are vital components of the ecosystem in many habitats. Their predation helps to keep the population of lots of animals and insects in check. It was just a movie people, a movie that I enjoyed, but it was just a movie.

Snakes ain't bad, yo.

I still hate snakes. They're gross. And scary.

But not slimy. No. Uh-uh.

It's not so much hate of Steve Irwin as it is my love of the laws of probability.
