Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Mary Carey

At this point, I have no idea if she is parodying the system, or is, in fact... doing her damndest to become part of it.

So... politics. I suppose I should comment on the silly business, eh? Senator Clinton won Texas... but didn't. See, Texas has a two-tiered system. She won the primary, but the caucus... well, that went to Senator Obama. According to Wikipedia, She won fifty one percent of the vote, getting her 65 delegates to Obama's 61 delegates and forty seven percent of the vote.

Of course, the caucuses were a different story. Obama accrued 18 delegates, and Clinton got 14. That comes out to 79 delegates for Clinton, and... 79 delegates for Obama. All of the negativity and ambiguity about Obama's Christianity that the Clinton camp mustered gave them a tie. Another 35 delegates are yet to be determined, so Obama could very well have won Texas.

Oh, and speaking of negativity, the whole NAFTA double-speak that she accused Obama of... according to Keith Olbermann, the Canadian diplomat was apparently speaking about HER position on NAFTA, not Obama's. Yep. Dirty tricks.

We shall see, in the coming weeks, whether or not I start sending out McCain e-mails or not...

Meh. Like you said... they all want healing, just in their own ways. Now that Huckabee is out of the race we're pretty well off generally speaking.
