Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Tiger Woods

Kim and I went to play putt-Putt last night. It was fun, but I suck at golf. Well, sports in general, really.

So, I just finished my homework for BIO 101. Bleah. Steroids, lipids, fatty acids, polar covalent bonds, hydrogen ions, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I always thought of a cooked partridge tied to a branch of the tree, with a couple of pears stuffed into it. People look at me weird when I say that.

take solace - as a child growing up catholic and patriotic i thought the song went:

" . . . america, america, god shed his blood on thee . . . "
