Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Juan Antonio Samaranch

He is the Honorary President For Life of the International Olympic Committee.

I won't be able to afford to take my family to Vancouver for the Olympics in 2010. I just won't have the cash. This is sad.

I don't know when the next winter Olympics are going to be on this continent. I hope I can afford it when it does happen, though.

There is plenty of time in this life to go. Plus I think we'd need to save a good 50K to do it right! Start putting money aside now, and maybe in 30 years...
