Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Cassie

She is a woman, and is not the alter ego of Booya.

So, the woman that I love more than any words can adequately express is carrying my unborn child. The due date is the 11th of July, 2009.

I will answer any questions that any of you may have on this subject.

Was this in the game plan? How do you feel about procreating? Which sex would you prefer to have and why? Are you concerned about autism and why? Do you think you'll be a good father? What are your plans for the future? Do you believe in god? Oh, do you wish to raise the child with a religion?

if it comes out a midget, can i buy it from you for $10?

I'm Scooter, but I might be a troll. said...

Kris, I was actually thinking of something like Mary Elizabeth, or Michael-Ann.

Kim, I don't think I really had a game-plan before I met you. I suppose that needs to change. I think a boy would be nice, for balance more than anything else, and I think Sadie would do well to have a brother to let her in on the strange male mind. I suppose autism is a concern, if only that a more pronounced stroke of it would cause problems later in life. I will do my damndest to be a good father, and will worry every day about not being such. I think my plans for the future are tied in with you, so we would need to discuss that further. I believe in possibility. As for religion... well, maybe we should go to a Unitarian Universalist church, and see what you think of it.

Jeremy, no.

damn kim!! all i wanted to know was if you were telling us good or bad news.

whose booya and why are you clarifying that i am not his/her alter ego.

you should definitely name her cassandra - - - unless she' a boy and then that would be weird.

Scooter, Thanks for clarifying (publicly, for all to know) Cassie's true identity.
I clicked "Blogs I follow" on her profile and hit Booya's blog. Thought it was "My blog", thereby assuming that she was Booya.

Me = Big Doofus.

you think you're a doofus??? i apparently forgot who someone was despite tagging their blog!!!?

but can we ever truly express someone's identity?? i mean to say i am a woman is true and yet i am so much more than that - i'm . . . :)

Cassie - you're a... dork! Which is, of course, why I love you and no, not love you in a more than a woman kind of way. ;) Oh, and I just thought I'd ask Mark a bunch of questions that he would not be able to answer if we were face to face - after all he asked for it! I was hoping you would jump in the game and ask him the meaning of life and other important questions.

Mark - Michael Ann? For a boy or a girl? I will have to try to get used to the idea of another opinion regarding my life and children.

Jeremy - $10? The going rate for an infant midget is substantially higher than $10. Either up the bid or make your own midget.

you're thinking of the big midget boom of '06, when the little critters were fetching upwards of $35 on the secondary market. but in today's difficult financial times, $10 is a fair price.
