Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Doug Frinkle

He's a moron. I have quantifiable proof now. I have been saying it for years before this, though.

The man is my stepfather. He has no high school diploma, and after he lost his job as a crossing guard for the city, he had a gap in his employment of about two years before he finally got a job in the meat department at Kroger. Kroger is a union shop. Kroger employees get scheduled raises, and health care. He quit last night.

His reason is that he is "worth more than seven forty an hour". Yeah. He is. Which is why he was going to get a raise in about a month and a half. A scheduled raise. And another one ninety days after that. And another one ninety days after that. AND... SO... ON.

I am leaving in a little over a month, and taking all of the income into the household that I bring with me.

He is a moron that deserves what is coming to him.

Frinkle? No wonder your mom kept your dads name.
What a moron. He obviously just doesn't like to work and unlike the rest of us thinks that is a good enough reason to not work.

My ex husband hasn't worked in three months. He said he could "go get a job at Starbucks, but he doesn't want to take a pay cut".

What's a pay cut on nothing?

I don't get people like that.

Where are you moving?
