Happy Birthday to Mister Pierce.
So, we had one hell of a Sunday. Maggie suggested the Livonia Rec Center for our play date. It was a good choice. The play scape was the largest that I have ever been in. Sadie and Violet were actually intimidated by the size of it at first, so their father, (that's me, folks) had to stuff his six foot two inch frame into the structure and explore the "tree house". When we finally got to the top, thirty feet above the floor, we went down the tube slide.
Now, I don't know if you are familiar with the confluence of High Density Poly-Ethylene Tube slides, cotton clothing, friction, and dry air, so let me distill it into three words: Constant Static Shock. The bottom of the tube smelled of ozone and the tears of frightened, confused children in pain. Be that as it may, Sadie and Violet took two trips with me back up before they went on their own.
After the play scape, all of us went to the pool. Let's just say the pool will be more recreational once the children are older. The water slide was fun.
Finally, we went to a Chinese Buffet. Peking Buffet at Five Mile Road and Farmington near the Bench Pub is clean, its staff is courteous, and its food is good. Sadie and Violet were about an hour over their nap or craft time, so lunch was... energetic.
After all of this, we putzed about in the house.
I like Sundays. They make the rest of the week, really.

My dads side of the family rent out a space in the Livonia Rec Center every year for our annual Christmas Volleyball game! :) It's a great place. Glad you enjoyed it!
