Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Hunter S. Thompson

"We can't stop here, it's bat country."

I have nothing original to say today.

HST is one of my heroes. He was one of the best writers in American history. Not to mention one of the wildest people ever.

I just recently finished reading a biography about him written from first hand experiences from his 100 closest friends and colleagues.

It's called, "Gonzo: The Life of Hunter S. Thompson."
