When I grow up, I want to be just like him.
So, did any one else watch "CSI" last night? Jamie and Adam showed up for about forty five seconds in the middle of the episode. Apparently the writers are fans of the Myth Busters.
Ok, you know what? I am what you would call... "odd". I've been "odd" my whole life. It has caused me a fair amount of pain and anguish in my life. However, I honestly think that is slowly changing for me. It's taken years, but it's finally falling into place.
First off, I have a bunch of friends that realize I am... "odd", and are cool with it. You have no idea what that has done for my confidence and ability to be at ease in social situations. Secondly, and this is important, I am in a mature and realistic relationship. Kim knows who she is, knows who I am, and is ok with me being me.
Hot damn.
Seriously... I was treading water, but now I know which way to swim towards shore.

Scoot, I am so happy for you. Being of the odd persuasion myself, I find it tremendously rewarding to think of you swimming. Hats off to good friends, to great women (Kim(, and to comfort in your own stellar skin. Hats off, I say!
So Mark, I've always been odd myself. I can relate to the anguish. Guess we have to focus on the positives. We're interesting, unique individuals, each in our own way. That's what attracts me to your dad too...his uniqueness, richness of character. I'm glad you've found so much acceptance for who you are!!
