Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Last Crazy Horn

This is the link to her blog. This is her update on her use of a weighted vest to help calm her down. I like to use heavy blankets all year long, no matter the weather.

Ok, so I have indeed decided to disclose a few things to you guys, and start talking about an aspect of myself that I have kept private for a long while. However, I have decided to be slow about it, and be as unobtrusive as possible. I mean, it took me nearly two years to publish my full name on this blog... I suppose I am somewhat private.

Any ways, Last Crazy Horn really likes Batman, and that's how I found her. She also has links to slug porn on her site, which just tickles my twisted perspective on the world quite well.

Scoot... go for it. Go ahead and blog deep, baby! No really, if you have the chance... nay, *courage*... to unleash that which is screaming on the inside to get out, just say it. Things left unsaid... now that's something to truly regret. People here who really understand and listen will stick around. I really admire your tenacity.

Last Crazy Horn... I can really identify with her on a lot of aspects, thanks for sharing the blog link. ^_-

meh. how deep can one truly go? if you're not a serial killer or a sociopath then really anything you're playing close the vest is more often than not boring and deep only to us.

really, humankind itself is less than deep.

just sayin.

most people will want you to blog about odd shit so they can feel better of themselves. others (read:me) couldn't care less. just post shit we can argue over. or at the very least that we can threaten each other's lives over.

and darwin has plans for your friend horn. and those plans are not good.

Well, Darwinian evolution (Darwin is dead... he has no plans on this plane of existence whatsoever) has plans for deaf people, blind people, epileptics, and other folks with other hereditary faults, too.

Hopefully, we can figure out how to keep dumbness like jumping over two six foot fences guarding a roller coaster on the path to extinction, while accomodate folks that can program like nobody's business... but also need a hugging machine to keep from freaking the fuck out.

You know, I was thinking... I wonder if the increase in Autism/Aspergers Syndrome isn't evolution. I think even Chud would appreciate dropping social formalities that Aspies dislike, and with the world relying on computers so heavily we need special help focusing on programming code and a gob of other stuff the average IQ'd person just can't handle. I think perhaps it is US (neurotypicals) that evolution has plans for.

Drunken Chud said...

kimber, i don't think that autism would be the next step in evolution. the simple fact is, evolutionary traits come along to help propagate that specific species. how does limiting one's social interactions help you breed? especially in severe cases of autism where the person can't even stand to be touched? that is an evolutionary trait that would kill the species. remember, it is survival of the fittest. only people with weaker forms of autism would be able to procreate. and even still it's not 100% their child will have it. personally i think the rise in autism is man made. there is something going on that is causing this, and i'm not quite sure what. something in the pre-natal care, something women are more commonly eating during pregnancy, something women aren't doing during pregnancy, something in men's secret sauce... who knows. but i try keep an open mind to most things, but autism as an evolutionary step is fairly counterevolutionary.

Kimber said...

Agreed, rocking in the corner autistics will rarely procreate. That's NOT hot.
I am thinking of the AS people, who are just a bit odd socially, but are often highly intelligent. These are the people who pretty much run NASA, and that makes THEM HOT.

Drunken Chud said...

yeah, you'd think that. however, social ineptitude does not lend itself to furthering a species. to you it's hot. to everyone else it's odd. and to the fittest of your gender it is downright unfuckable. they don't run nasa, you need people that can work as a team in that environment and under high stress. AS... not so much. evolution? nay. devolution, aye.

Evolution also includes diversity. AS people think differently that neurotypicals. We are able to come up with new solutions to problems once deemed insoluble. They believe that Einstein was probably an HFA - High Functioning Autistic. The difference between an HFA and an Aspie is in the language delay as a child. Aspies have no language delay, while HFA's do. I suggest checking out http://www.wrongplanet.net. This is a web forum for people involved in some manner with the autism spectrum.

Einstein didn't talk until he was four, and as you might remember, he never learned how to tie his shoes. Yet look at his contributions to society. Even if he wasn't on the spectrum, he was still remarkably odd and nonconformist in his actions.

BTW, thanks Scooter for the link. I'll have to check your blog out. :)

My friend in Houston knows quite a few women who's husbands are aspies and quite a few of them work for NASA. She says they are a majority and that's all I know. The fittest of my gender, and yours as well, are not the ones running the world. They are too busy rubbing lotion in to their cuticles and looking at themselves in the mirror. I will second LCH's comment, because she is more articulate than I - an NT.

I think it is important to point out that Chud really does not give up arguing even when he knows he is beaten. He loves to see how long and how angry he can get people to be, even when he is being pummeled to death with facts and figures.

It is one of the most endearing qualities of him, actually.

Kimber said...

It's all good. Chud has stated he enjoys a good argument. I enjoy arguing as well, and I last longer when I am knowledgeable about the subject. I’m about done with this one. :)

Drunken Chud said...

LCH, that's fine that people think he may have been. people think lincoln may have had multiple endocrine neoplasia, type 2B. let's stick to proveable arguments.

Kimber, while i can't comment on your friend at nasa, she may be correct. i could see at nasa JPL, but at mission control i would not have believed it. but hey, things are strange. anyhow, i fear you have a misconception of "the fittest". it doesn't mean "the best looking". there is a lot more that goes into "fittest". looks do come into play, but as much as overall health. mental health included.

scooter, this may be true. but i'll never admit it.

so i actually don't believe that autism IS the next evolutionary step but . . . as for the question of could it be? sure. because the fact is that we are near drowning in population and now that we have stopped throwing the deformed and otherwise inconvenient over the cliffs (china as the noted exception) and erstwhile improving our defenses against illnesses and steadily pumping cash into new ways to increase fertility . . . etc etc ad nauseam . . . we don't really need to INcrease our drive to procreate - something to stem that tide might well be exactly what evolution might call for right now

just a thought

as to scooter's contention that chud likes to see how angry he can get folks. well, personally i'm impressed by someone who says they love to argue and hasn't resorted to any attempts at degrading his "opponent" to get there.
