Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.

Joe Biden

His wife and child were killed in a terrible car accident shortly after his arrival in the senate. He had to take care of his surviving family, so he took the train back to Delaware every night to do so. First, that's touching, and second, I think it quite dramatically displays how much Delaware resembles a suburb more than it resembles a state.

I am going to be doing my homework most of the day. I think my phone's battery is failing, so... yeah.

I'm not being a hermit, I'm just at campus without a phone.
